Love & hate narrative
Love and hate are often described as two sides of the same coin, sharing a thin line fueled by intense passion and high emotional arousal. In literature, this duality is most famously captured in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, where the lovers' devotion is inextricably linked to their families' ancient grudge, leading Juliet to lament that her "only love sprung from only hate".

While love has the transformative power to drive individuals toward extreme sacrifice and reconciliation, entrenched hatred can act as a destructive force that consumes priorities and blinds judgment. Ultimately, these emotions are interdependent; the same neurological pathways that spark deep affection can quickly flip into resentment following betrayal or unmet expectations, proving that indifference, rather than hate, is the true opposite of love.
